Unfortunately due to illness Alec Finlay will not be speaking tomorrow, instead we’re pleased to announce Tim Machin will be taking his place.
CHANGE OF SPEAKER
Allusions to landscape, nature and the escape of Romanticism figure prominently in the work of tim Machin– brooding skies, suggested horizons, soaring birds, snow and even rainbows, are hewn from everyday items, newspapers, sellotape and advertising. Machin studied at the Ruskin School of Fine Art, University of Oxford and Wimbledon School of Art. He was shortlisted for the Jerwood Drawing Prize (2001) and Becks Futures (2006), and was recently included in Undone at the Henry Moore Institute.
