Art Historians at the University of Manchester visit it everyday, whether it’s to attend a lecture or to seek solace in the library tucked away on the fourth floor, Mansfield Cooper is where it all happens. Now the visual culture is returning to the visual cultures building with a new exhibition by Charlotte Baker and Humphrey Hendrix (that’s me).

Our intention was to turn the glass corridor on the ground floor into a space for local artists to show what they have to offer. With natural sunlight on one side, fluorescent lighting above and an exposed bricks wall, the corridor was destined to have work hung along it. Now there is something interesting to look in passing between lectures, lunch, those lonely cigarette breaks and the library.

The first rotation of showcases work by Richard Manning, Annie Fuller, Jason Yang, Wiktor Komorowski, Desislava Metodieva and Melissa Malala and will shown until May.
