Busy busy again this academic year: developing on-line resources for teachers to support the post-16 EPQ (Extended Project Qualification) – currently being tweaked by the University web team before they go ‘live’ – I’ve created resources on the topic of ‘Engaging with Visual Culture’ ….
A great Yr9 History Day last month – students attended a workshop entitled ‘Visual Culture: Evidence of History’. The workshop explored the role of visual culture within history, examining how art and imagery aides our understanding, and provides ‘evidence’, of societies and cultures, people and events.
Exploring our responses to colour with Yr7s at an Aimhigher event next week, and a series of Yr10 Identity Days at the Museum coming up at the end of March/ April.
